Lorraine Murray is an archivist and historian interested in the social and architectural histories of Glasgow and the West of Scotland. She is a graduate of the University of Glasgow with an MSc in Archives and Digital Preservation, along with an MA (hons) in History of Art and Digital Media Studies, and was elected as an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 2025. Lorraine is a public speaker, talking about women's history, architecture, the built environment, people and places. She has co-authored and contributed chapters to publications including the History of Healthcare in Inverclyde, Finding Forgotten Finnart, Sugar, Ships and Slavery, and the Women’s Realm. She is the author of the Archivist History Blog which includes stories about witchcraft, graveyards and hidden histories. She is also a committee member and volunteer researcher for the Friends of Ramshorn Graveyard and is interested in all things strange and unusual.
