Event Details
In 2016 Queensferry History Group held a very successful exhibition in Queensferry Museum. Due to this success the "Queensferry at War" exhibition has been extended throughout most of 2017. There will be a few additions to the exhibition to take account of events in 1917 as they applied to Queensferry. Currently on display are banners from the Battle of Jutland and the Battle of the Somme, displays on women at war and also details of the local men who died. From the end of February there will also be details of the fighting at Arras and Passchendale in 1917. The US Navy were in the Forth in 1917 and there will also be some information on this. Please note that the museum is on the first floor and there is no lift. The museum hours are as follows: Monday, Thursday, Friday Saturday 10am to 1pm and 2.15pm to 5pm. Sunday 12pm to 5pm.
