Queensferry History Group
About
Queensferry History Group was formed when some like-minded people attended a local history evening class over 25 years ago and decided that they wanted to start researching and recording the local social history of South Queensferry. We have published two books on the subject and we have also produced a guided walk of the town.
The group has amassed a large number of photographs over the years as well as objects of local interest. We can help with requests for people researching their families.
The group gives talks mainly on old Queensferry and Dalmeny to local groups and schools.
In 2013 we started researching the names on the local WW1 memorials with the aim of putting on an exhibition in the town. This exhibition opened in March 2016.
