Event Details

Traditionally, genealogies followed the male surname line with little attention paid to female ancestors. Although that is less the case with family history today, the fact that women typically generated fewer records than men means they can often be more difficult to research.

This talk will look at some of the challenges of tracing women in Scotland, as well as highlighting some of the records that can shed light on their lives and bring their individual stories to life.
