Talk by Ian Newton, 'With Shackleton to South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Antarctic'. Shackleton's ship, 'Endurance' was crushed by the ice and after many hardships a small party reached the whaling station on South Georgia to summon help. All of Shackleton's crew were saved.
