Historic Maps of Easterhouse and Glasgow

When & Where

Wednesday, 1 November 2023 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Provan Hall, Auchinlea Road, Glasgow, G34 9PQ

Event Details

Provan Hall is one of Glasgow's oldest buildings and is a contestant as Glasgow's oldest house (up against Provand's Lordship). The medieval building dates back to 1470s and has just undergone a 6 year renovation. After 6 years of closure, the building is once again open to the public. Provan Hall Community Management Trust is an independent charity which acts as custodian to Provan Hall. We are running a series of talks which celebrates Scotland's rich heritage, in one of the best kept medieval buildings in the country.

We welcome Laragh Quinney from the National Library of Scotland to showcase historic maps of Easterhouse and Glasgow. An evening of local history and discovery of how our local Easterhouse area and city has changed over the years.
