The Blairskaith Junkers
When & Where
Event Details
Scotland suffered terribly in the Blitz. Glasgow, Clydebank and Greenock were targeted and heavily punished by the Luftwaffe. This is the dramatic story of the threat from the skies and of the Junker 88 that was shot down and crashed on the Campsie Fells. Two of the aircrew died... but two survived. This masterpiece of wartime research tells this forgotten but highly relevant local story, and reveals the personal lives of the Nazi aircrew, notorious prisoner of war camps, and executions.
