After the War Is Over - The Legacy of WW1
The Great War was destructive but it also generated many advances in Scotland that continue to resonate today - the birth of re-constructive medicine, the rise of social care, the emancipation of women, and the decline of the large estates as well as leaving numerous memorials that commemorate the millions of people who paid the ultimate price.
