Live Borders Museums & Galleries Service
About this Organisation
Our museums tell the story of Borders people from the earliest times to the present day; their struggles, their homes, their work and their creativity; from Roman occupation to Coldstream Guards; from the life of a 17th century laird to that of a prisoner in a 19th century jail; from textile mills to an ironmonger's shop and from the waters of a health spa to Common Riding traditions. They also explore the lives of the famous including Mary Queen of Scots, Walter Scott, Jim Clark and Jimmie Guthrie.
