About this Organisation
Full time public library, with local and family history archives for North East Fife. These include Old Parish Registers, Census Records (1841 - 1901), 1894 and 1914 OS Maps, and Sasines for Fife; Valuation Rolls for North East Fife; print and microfilm Newspaper archives including the Dundee Courier, Fife News, Fife Herald, Fifeshire Journal, East Fife Record, East Fife Observer, St Andrews Citizen.
There is a large photographic collection covering Cupar and surrounding towns and villages, which is in the process of being digitized.
Other assets include photographs by Aasa Goldsmith and Tom Pearson, books from the Cupar Burns Club, and a substantial collection of Local Reference books which are on the on-line catalogue.
Ancestryinstitution.co.uk is available free to library members using public access computers.
The reference room is open during library hours, Tuesday to Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. 10 - 12.30 and 1.30 - 5pm (6pm closing on Thursday and 3pm on Saturday). Local Studies resources are accessible on Tuesday and Wednesday, please contact us for more details.
