Back in the Day: Memories of Creich, Flisk and Kilmany 2023 is the inaugural publication of the Creich, Flisk and Kilmany Historical Group, established in 2023 to preserve and celebrate the rich heritage of these neighbouring Fife communities. Drawing on local memories, historical research, photographs and archival records, the magazine captures the stories, people and places that have shaped the area over centuries.

The first edition focuses on the theme of the church, exploring its central role in community life from the earliest days of Christianity through the medieval period, the Reformation and into modern times. Articles trace the origins and histories of the churches of Creich, Flisk and Kilmany, examining their architecture, clergy, traditions and enduring influence on local society.

Alongside these historical accounts are personal recollections of village life in Luthrie, Flisk and Ballinbreich, offering vivid insights into farming, schooling, local businesses, social gatherings and everyday life during the twentieth century. The publication also broadens its scope with features on the geology of Norman's Law, notable local figures, village halls and other landmarks that contribute to the area's unique identity.
