The talk will cover examples of tattooing from 5,000 years ago to the present day, and, in a unique Edinburgh twist, will also discuss the amazing story of a young boy who was tattooed by his older brother in New York the 1870s, and whose remarkable skin is now in the collection of the University of Edinburgh.
