When & Where
Event Details
You are invited to the Grassroots Heritage in Scotland Aberdeenshire & Moray Roadshow, part of the Scottish Community Heritage Alliance's 'Grassroots Heritage in Scotland' project, funded by Historic Environment Scotland and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Further information about SCHA and the Grassroots Heritage in Scotland can be found on our website at www.scottishcommunityheritagealliance.org(link is external).
We are running a series of twelve community heritage roadshows across Scotland. The ninth of these roadshows will be the Aberdeenshire & Moray Roadshow on Saturday 22nd March 2025 at The Barn Arts, Banchory.
The roadshows are a mix of talks, displays, networking and discussions on important topics that matter to local heritage organisations in this region. A local steering committee will be established to ensure discussion topics reflect local interests and concerns.
The event is open to anyone with an interest in community heritage. All heritage organisations in attendance are also encouraged to have a stall that will allow them to showcase their work and provide a point of contact for networking. The day will begin with setting up of stalls at 10am and we will be finished by 4pm. Lunch will be provided and we also have a limited number of travel bursaries to assist those who would otherwise struggle to afford to attend. Simply let us know if you would like to be considered for a travel bursary and we will send a form for you to apply.
Please email scottishcommunityheritage@gmail.com(link sends e-mail) if you would be interested in attending the event and in having a stall, indicating the number of people from your organisation that plan to attend.
We hope to welcome you at the Grassroots Heritage in Scotland Aberdeenshire & Moray Roadshow!
