Local Studies' books and pamphlet collection

About this Resource

Aberdeen City Libraries Local Studies hold a large collection of books and pamphlets ranging from sixteenth century early printed books to the latest local publications and covering the whole spectrum of subjects related to the city and the surrounding area.

This collection can be searched using our online catalogue (https://aberdeencity.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/MSGTRN/WPAC/HOME) and the Local Studies card catalogue located in Aberdeen Central Library. At its core the collection is a reference resource, but there are also copies of most major titles available to borrow with a library membership.

Aberdeen Central Library opening hours:

Monday and Wednesday: 9am to 8pm
Tuesday, Thursday to Saturday: 9am to 5pm
