The objectives of the Society are to:

Provide a forum for local residents and the wider community to learn, enjoy and understand about the origins, geography, natural history, social history and environmental characteristics of the local area (essentially the Parish of Strathblane).

Ensure that historical items collected by the Society (e.g., information, documents, artefacts, electronic files, etc) are preserved and passed on to future generations.

Encourage members of the local community to develop an interest and understanding of local history.
