Moray Local Heritage Centre and Archives
About this Organisation
The Local Heritage Centre is currently housed upstairs in Elgin Library.
The Centre holds a comprehensive range of unique materials about Moray’s rich past, including all local newspapers dating back to 1827; all local government archives from 13th Century to present day; 18,000 photographs and much more.
The Local Heritage Service for Moray offers a fascinating insight to Moray's history and to ancestry searches.
The service is based within Elgin Library, Cooper Park, Elgin, IV30 1HS.
Opening Hours:
Monday 10am – 5pm
Tuesday 10am – 8pm
Wednesday 10am – 5pm
Thursday 10am – 5pm
Friday 10am - 5pm
Saturday 10am – 12 Noon.
