About the speaker:
Vincent Gillen has been the Social History Curator at the McLean Museum in Greenock for the last thirty years. In that time he has researched numerous local history topics for exhibitions there. He is also behind Cartsburn Publishing, a publishing company dedicated to the local history of the towns of Inverclyde. He has written numerous books over the years and given talks to many groups and societies. He has a joint honours degree in Scottish History and Economic & Social History as well as a post grad diploma in Museum Studies.
