What Was Here Before Glasgow? (film)

About this Resource

A 10-minute 34-second documentary film by OrbitalFlyers exploring the origins of Glasgow around the site of Glasgow Cathedral. Using aerial and on-location footage, it traces the traditions surrounding St Mungo, the early Christian settlement on the Molendinar Burn and the growth of the medieval cathedral and burgh. The film looks beneath the modern city to examine the religious community and landscape from which Glasgow developed. Published in May 2026; free to watch online.
