The Heritage Centre (Renfrewshire Council)

About this Organisation

The Heritage Centre holds the archive collection for Renfrewshire. Primarily an enquiry service our experienced knowledgeable staff can help with the full range of family and local history enquiries. As well as the basic collections (Census Records and OPRs, local newspapers, council minutes, maps and trades directories) we also hold the Poor Law collection for the Paisley area and the "Paisley Pamphlets" - a unique collection of ephemera.

Access to the Poor Law has been greatly enhanced by the digitisation of the Poor Law index which can be viewed via our website.

We accept enquiries in person, by email, letter and by phone call.
